    We are inviting fine artists to apply to join us in Masters of Today new collective artist's books series published by WOA, collectible art books for collectors, museums, galleries, bookstores and ecommerce. Masters of Today concept of being published links artist's works to reputable collections, museum acquisitions and galleries exhibitions, to the general public.
    The nominations and the inclusions in Masters of Today collective artist books series are judged solely by visuals submitted as attachment send to mastersoftoday.com. This is a selection process free-of-charges and makes no claim to a deal or to publishing agreement. To apply click-on the MediaPack, download, fill and return by email the Application Form.

    Publishing Material Requested      
Artists wishing to enter an Artist Profile in Masters of Today collective artist's books series should provide for selection the advertising materials requested below.
-      The completed Application Form.
-      3~6 art works (email us JPG /TIFFs image files as 300 dpi/ 23 cm/ 9" side.
-      The works details : title, year, media, size
-      Up to 500 words of critic or statement
-      The personal website
-      The place of residence and work

A photo of yourself (300 dpi/ 4 cm/ 1,5 in)
Entries without a fully completed entry form will not be accepted.
If you are not able to fell the PDF application form you can submit a letter that includes: name, country, the method of the ad fee payment.

    Advertising Fee Policy
B
ecause we are artists and because we want to keep Masters of Today Collective Art Book Series at a fairly accessible advertising price for those contemporary artists who are passing the selection, we run not only with no profit, but out of our own pockets.
    So, all accepted artists are eligible for reduced advertising fees respectively 590 Euro for full-page and 990 Euro for two-page spreads (full-page advertising rate 3890 Euro).

    FREE COPIES
Three copies of the book are given to each artist or gallery included (the postage is not included). The advertising fee should be provided after notification of acceptance and after receiving a layout alternative in the book.

    Distribution
The distribution is through large book wholesalers and ecommerce channels in US bookstores and internationally. Check Masters of Today 20 most beautiful art books at
Amazon /Borders (click-on the link).

    Why publish your Artist Profile in an art book that makes art history?
Although publishing your artist profile seems like the last step in every professional artist creative process.

    What an Artist Profile included?
From 3 to 6 art works, the works details (title, year, media, size), up to 500 words of critic or statement, the place of residence and work, a photo of yourself and the personal website.

    How much it cost?
The advertising fees in Masters of Today collectible collective art books series starts at 3890 Euro or the equivalent currency per one-page.  Advertising in Masters of Today publications is subject to acceptance.
    All accepted fine artists are eligible for reduced advertising fees, respectively 590 Euro or the equivalent currency for one-page and 990 Euro or the equivalent currency for two-page spreads. Up to 12 pages each additional page is 390 Euro or the equivalent.
    The advertising fee includes review, editing, and creative layout, composition, museum quality offset printing, binding, marketing, and three copies given free of charges to the artists included in the books (postage not included).

    Masters Bibliophile Limited Edition collectible ART BOOK in a slipcase


Masters of Today Bibliophile Limited Edition Art Books Series [Masters Bibliophile Limited Edition] invite outstanding contemporary artists to have published a museum quality bibliophile deluxe limited edition art book individually signed and numbered by the artist which optional include an original sketch, drawing, photograph or print.
The publishing package assumes a comprehensive and professional in every aspect unique created hardcover book in an exclusive creative layout per-page, museum quality offset print on art paper and Business Reply Card, a simple but efficient modality for collectors and art lovers to contact the artist.

    Specifications
The minimum number of pages a book must have to use an ISBN number is 64 pages. The minimum printing run is 1000 copies. Estimation for more copies can be provided upon firm request.
Except copies sent to relevant organizations, to bibliographic centre of the national libraries legal deposits, all copies are given to the artist.
    Price
We are not charging any additional fees besides the design and the printing cost. Making an art book prices start at 159 Euro
or the equivalent currency per page.
    Retail
Masters of Today Bibliophile Limited Edition Art Books are collectible art objects.  If a book exemplar is authentically signed and numbered by the artist which optional could include an original artwork, a sketch, drawing, photography or print that extends beyond the value of an investment art object. The book price in bookstores and eCommerce ranges from $299 US to $2799 US per exemplar depending on the exemplar number, autograph signature and uniqueness of the artwork included.
    Materials to be received

• Minimum 50 quality photos or quality scans of the works /TIFF image files, 300 dpi, up to 33 cm /13" the vertical side.
• The work information: title, year, media, size, collections.
• Writings, essays, statement, texts.
• Resume and exhibition list of artist
• Photos from the early days to the present time.
    Distribution
The primary marketing venue is the most important website selling books: Amazon. Other venues include the bookstore chains Borders, Banes & Noble and affiliates in USA, Canada, France, Germany, UK, Australia and others.

    Royalty
The artist royalty is determined depending on the retail price and the distribution cost.
    Royalty Example
If a bibliophile art book sells for $299 USD and the wholesale traditional takes 55% off the retail price, the price is $134.55; the distributor traditional takes 40% of $134.55, that would be $53.82 and the author earning of 60 points of $134.55 gets 60% for each book sold. The royalty would be roughly $80.73 for each book sold paid to the artist.
    Note
All materials sent become the property of MOT, and we cannot be held liable for any damages or loss of materials. MOT shall return materials only if they are accompanied by a supplied postage and a return address label. The Publisher reserves the right to discard material if a return is not requested in writing within one month of submission.

 

    MOT CRITIC AWARD
Many deal with art in the world. And many of these paint, sculpt, draw and make installations, using all sorts of media. Few, in truth, aim for or obtain appreciable results. Intellectual ability, conceptual lucidity, expressive command, expository clarity, acceptable basic knowledge of the history of art and originality are prerogatives very few have – they may be convinced, or believe, or hope they do, after having outlined marks on a canvas, or made objects or video  images...
    The Award
- 1,000 euro for a research grant
- Publication in 2011 of the resulting essay
    The Application
Essay not to exceed 10,000 words in English, self introduction with an up to date CV, one sample of previous writing.
    Selection Criteria
Originality in analysis, emergence of a personal vision,
technical skill, relevance to the current discourse on contemporary art.
    Requirement
BA, MA or PhD degrees will be considered. Living and working predominantly in art.

    Notifications
Submitters who are recognized with awards will be notified at the end of December.

    About MOT Art Critic Award
MOT Art Awards was set up in 2009 by Petru Russu, art editor and publisher, active fine artist. The Award is given biannually to artists and art critics who show particular talent in artistic creation and in its critique, in order to encourage their professional development through publications.
