     Masters of Today (MOT) is an Incorporated Limited Company under the Companies Act 1985 by the Register of Companies for England. Masters of Today published over 700 artist profiles. Subsequent editions: Art Addiction 100 Contemporary Artists, published 2003, FAMOUS 121 Contemporary Artists, published 2007, MASTERS 117 Contemporary Artists, published 2008, TRENDS 136 Contemporary Artists, published 2008.

     Masters of Today concept of being published links artist's works to reputable collections, museum acquisitions and galleries exhibitions, to the general public. Our clients and collaborators include some of the most prestigious museums as Guggenheim and MoMA in New York, TATE Modern in London, The Getty in Los Angeles, Venice Biennial and hundreds of artists and galleries worldwide.

     To apply Creative GENIUS click-on the MediaPack above, download, complete and return by email the Application Form. Please make sure your submission conform to the requirements outlined above.

MATERIALS REQUESTED     
Artists wishing to enter an Artist Profile in Creative GENIUS should provide for selection the advertising materials requested below.
-      The completed Application Form (click-on MediaPack above).
-      3~6 art works (email us JPG /TIFFs image files as 300 dpi/ 23 cm/ 9" side.
-      The works details : title, year, media, size
-      From 300 to 1300 words of critic or statement
-      The personal website
-      The place of residence and work
-      A photo of yourself (300 dpi/ 4 cm/ 1,5 in)

     Entries without a fully completed entry form will not be accepted.
If you are not able to fell the PDF application form you can submit a letter that includes: 1.your name, 2.country, 3.the method of the ad fee payment. That's just a simple formality that helps editors decision and layout.

FEE POLICY
     All accepted artists and galleries are eligible for reduced inclusion fees (advertising) respectively 590 Euro for one-page and 990 Euro or the equivalent currency for two-page spreads.
     Artists affiliated with a museum are paying full advertising fee, respectively 3990 Euro or the equivalent currency for one page.
     Three copies of the book are given to each artist or gallery included (the postage is not included). The advertising fee should be provided after notification of acceptance and after receiving a layout alternative in the book.

DISTRIBUTION
The distribution is through large book wholesalers and ecommerce channels in US bookstores and internationally including Barnes & Noble, Borders, Amazon ad more.

The editing process is in progress and about 80 percent of the inclusions are completed. Submit ASAP (without art books art history is silent).

We invite outstanding contemporary artists to have published a highly collectible bibliophile deluxe limited edition individual art book  individually signed and numbered by the artist which (optional) include an original sketch, drawing, photograph or print.

Specifications

The first print run of 1,000 copies -
950 copies are given to the artist, is a large-size hardcover book of 30x24cm. /12x9,5 inches (other options available) in a unique creative layout per-page, a quality art print on silk art paper and Business Reply Card (a simple but efficient modality for collectors and art lovers to contact the Artist directly).
The book is perfect bound and full color, a genuine collector art object.
We can also provide high quality creative writing of an introductory essay or critique of the artist work by our art writers.

PRICE

Please email us your inquiries. We are not charging any additional fees besides the design and the printing cost. Making your art book, prices start at 159 Euro per page
(or the equivalent currency) and are including the offset printing and the time required to create the layout.
Retail

Masters of Today (MOT) bibliophile limited edition art books are collectible art objects. Each exemplar is authentically signed and numbered by the artist which optional could include an original artwork - a sketch, drawing, photography or print that in fact, it reflects a process that extends beyond the value of an investment art object. The book price in bookstores and eCommerce ranges from $299 US to $2799 US per exemplar, depending on the exemplar number, autograph signature and uniqueness of the artwork included.

• Minimum 60 quality photos or quality scans of the works /TIFF image files, 300 dpi, up to 33 cm /13" the vertical side.
• The work information: title, year, media, size, collections.
• Writings, essays, statement, texts.
• Resume and exhibition list of artist
• Photos from the early days to the present time.
Distribution
The primary marketing venue is the most important website selling books: - Amazon.com. Other venues include the bookstore chains Borders, Banes & Noble and others affiliates in USA, Canada, France, Germany, UK, Australia and others.


Royalty

The artist royalty is determined depending on the retail price and the distribution cost.
ROYALTY EXAMPLE 1
If a bibliophile art book sells for $299 USD and the wholesale traditional takes 55% off the retail price, the price is $134.55; the distributor traditional takes 40% of $134.55, that would be $53.82 and the author earning of 60 points of $134.55 gets 60% for each book sold. The royalty would be roughly $80.73 for each book sold paid to the artist.
ROYALTY EXAMPLE 2
If a bibliophile art book sells for $ 2799 USD and the wholesale traditional takes 55% off the retail price, the price is $1259.55; the distributor traditional takes 40% of $1259.55, that would be $503.82 and the author earning of 60 points of $1259.55gets 60% for each book sold. The royalty would be roughly $755.73 for each book sold paid to the artist.
NOTE
All materials sent become the property of MOT, and we cannot be held liable for any damages or loss of materials. MOT shall return materials only if they are accompanied by a supplied postage and a return address label. MOT /Masters of Today Publishers, Ltd reserves the right to discard material if a return is not requested in writing within one month of submission.

ART CRITIC AWARD

INVITATION TO APPLY FOR MOT ART CRITIC AWARD FOR VISUAL ART 2010

Many deal with art in the world. And many of these paint, sculpt, draw and make installations, using all sorts of media. Few, in truth, aim for or obtain appreciable results. Intellectual ability, conceptual lucidity, expressive command, expository clarity, acceptable basic knowledge of the history of art and originality are prerogatives very few have – they may be convinced, or believe, or hope they do, after having outlined marks on a canvas, or made objects or videographic images.... Selections from MOT Art Critic Awards are published in the WOA contemporary art magazine and MOT collective art books (anthology of work by contemporary artists), which are distributed in eCommerce and bookstores worldwide..
ABOUT MOT ART CRITIC AWARD
MOT Art Awards was set up in 2009 by Petru Russu, art editor and publisher, active fine artist. It is given biannually to artists and art critics who show particular talent in artistic creation and in its critique, in order to encourage their professional development through publications.

The form must be signed and attached to each work before sending by e-mail to MOT.
